The mentioned job opportunities will be provided through implementing 9 short-term job-creation projects in the framework of “Mahtab” Business Model of Barakat Foundation and a total of 14 Billion and 600 million tomans have been considered for this aim. The main pillars of Mahtab Model are supplying inputs and marketing through sale back up and education.

Eng. Saeed Jafari, CEO of Barakat Foundation, said that a group consisting of Barakat Foundation staff and Mehr Iran Ghard al-Hasan Bank, as the operating bank, has been deployed in the Ravar County. He also said that in this phase 400 job opportunities will be created and we predict that the remaining will be realized by the year-end.

Emphasizing that priority of these jobs, with regard to the relative advantages and economic capacities of Ravar County includes businesses related to ecotourism and tourism, handicrafts such as carpet-weaving, home and service occupations such as producing cloths and garments and certain jobs such as husbandry, CEO of Barakat Foundation said, “Given the capabilities of producing carpet in Ravar, we are going to create 400 job opportunities in this area and the next priority will be for other businesses.”

He also explained about applying necessary inspections to supply facilities and loans to the applicants. He said, “We have predicted some strategies in order to lead these loans in a proper way. Inspections are done in two phases; first, before paying the loans, as loans are paid to the suppliers instead of applicants, for instance in carpet-weaving business, people who provide the loaners with tools, instruments and raw materials can get the loans.”

“The second phase of inspection is done after paying the loans. For this purpose, some employment committees will be established which carry out the periodic inspections. If a loaner is found culprit in something wrong, he/she return the whole payment to the bank. At the same time, the loaner individual or company is committed to continuing its supports at least by the end of paying installments’ period”, he added.

Emphasizing the eradication of unemployment in the Ravar County, Eng, Jafari said that it is not only the demand of EIKO, but is a public demand. All of us in the Barakat Foundation are working to reach this. We spare no efforts to complete this project as best as possible and necessary researches have been done in this regard.

“Our purpose is not just paying loans and facilities, but our approach is economic empowerment, education and creation of permanent jobs and we have predicted all inspectional mechanisms in this regard,” he said.

To conclude his remarks, Eng. Jafari said, “Creation of permanent jobs is the EIKO’s strategy, and we need to produce products or services appropriate with the regional privileges, skills and capabilities of local people, and more important developing markets for supplying and selling high-quality products and services.”

It is necessary to say that the Barakat Foundation is going to create 3000 job opportunities by the next March based on the economic empowerment rubrics of this foundation including “Aftab” and “Aseman” initiatives, out of which 1250 permanent job opportunities will be created by the end of this year in the Ravar County.
