Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) has taken giant strides in line with generation of 8,000 employment opportunities in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Public Relations Department of Barakat Foundation reported.

In his meeting with the governor general of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) Dr. Mohammad Mokhbersaid: “With the conclusion of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), 800 billion Tomans worth of credit has been earmarked for uprooting and removing poverty in Sistan-Baluchestan Province. In addition, EIKO will generate 8,000 employment opportunities for job-seeking people in this province.”

With due observance to the said issue, EIKO will invest 1,000 billion Tomans at large in this underprivileged province of country, he maintained.

Empowering economic activities, uprooting poverty and promoting social and economic activities in this provinceare the main objective of EIKO, he said, adding: “Sistan-Baluchestan Province is a clear example of unity, amity and coexistence of different ethnic groups, so that there is a very intimate and amicable relationship between noble people of this province and the leadership.”

Despite high potentials and capacities in the country, it is not good to have even one unemployed and poor person, he emphasized.

He acknowledged: “Iran is ranked 8th and 1st in terms of production of handicrafts and variety of handicrafts respectively in the global level, so that these high capacities and potentials should be used optimally.”

However, Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) will take giant stride in the field of organizing and upgrading status of handicrafts in Sistan-Baluchestan Province appropriately, Dr. Mohammad Mokhber opined.

Relying on Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and training efficient and competent manpower are considered as salient characteristics of advanced and developed countries, he said, adding: “High potentials available in this province should be taken into consideration in line with generating export-based productions.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he pointed to the salient projects which will be launched by Barakat Foundation in Sistan-Baluchestan Province as follows: construction of Date Processing Plant in Saravan[costing 180 billion Rials) and Pistachio Processing Factory in Kourin District, Zahedan[costing 130 billion Rials], granting facilities and loans for generating employment and also allocating credit for those children who have dropped and lagged behind education, etc.

Dr. Mokhber emphasized: “This province enjoys high capacity and potential in the field of raising camel, so that a comprehensive plan should be compiled in this province in the field of raising camel.”

Given the above issue, Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO), has expressed its readiness to offer interest-free loan to applicants interested in buying camel, he stressed.

In the same direction, Barakat Foundation will grant interest-free loan to a number of 2,000 people in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, each worth 50 million Rials, with the aim of generating employment and spurring production in this province, he highlighted.

Moreover, Barakat Foundation will allocate 150 billion Rials worth of credit for supporting 70,000 children who have dropped and/or lagged behind education in this province.

Generally speaking, all 70,000 children, who have been deprived of education in this province, will be backed by Barakat Foundation suitably, so that these children can continue their studies vigorously with peace of mind.

Manpower training is of paramount importance for the development of both country and Sistan-Baluchestan Province, he said, adding: “For this purpose, Barakat Foundation will construct five Work-and-Knowledge Art Schools in Sistan-Baluchestan Province to offer necessary training services to students in this province.”

In addition, Barakat Foundation is ready to offer necessary facilities and loans to inactive industrial and production units in this province in order to back them to the production cycle, Mokhber maintained.

For this purpose, the Foundation will dispatch expert assessors to these regions in this province.

Given the vastness of Sistan-Baluchestan Province and dire need of people to the sanitary and hygienic facilities, Barakat Foundation will allocate six buses to carry out screening and therapeutic examinations in this province, he said, adding: “Setting up health centers is a must in this province and effective steps have been taken in this regard.”

It is worth mentioning that Barakat Foundation has promised to fund construction of a 500-bed hospital at the margin of Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Dr. Mokhber observed.

He referred to the implementation of irrigation project in this province and said: “Feasibility studies have been conducted by the Foundation on 46,000 ha land area of this province for irrigational purposes.”

So far, Barakat Foundation has spent 200 billion Tomans in the field of implementation of irrigational project in this province, he said, adding: “Despite its different ethnicities and religions, Sistan-Baluchestan Province is clear manifestation of unity and amity between Shia and Sunni in the world.”

Sistan-Baluchestan Province has plenty of potentials and capacities, he said, adding: “This province can meet demands of other provinces of the country if accurate and precise planning is made.”

For this purpose, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the head of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) and governor general of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, valued at 800 billion Tomans, in order to ward off depravity and empower social and economic status of this province in the country.

Earlier, Barakat Foundation had invested about 200 billion tomans worth of capital in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, he said, adding: “It is supposed that the Foundation will invest 1,000 billion tomans in this province for promoting socioeconomic and cultural activities.”

In the end, Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) Dr. Mohammad Mokhber once again said that Barakat Foundation will generate new employment opportunities for 8,000 job-seeking people in this province.”
