According to the MOU, the mentioned budget will be invested to eradicate deprivation, to create employment, to extend social and economic empowerment, construction and completion of infrastructural projects, housing for the deprived people, medical and health, cultural and educational projects, supportive services including covering orphans, granting interest-free loans to infertile couples in the deprived and less-developed parts of the Lorestan Province.
Likewise, a part of this budget, more than 50 billion Tomans, has been allocated for investment in employment creation and economic empowerment of Noorabad, Delfan.
According to a recent report, in a meeting attended by Dr, Musa Khademi, Lorestan Governor, Ali Rostamian, MP of Delfan and Selseleh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and other authorities of Lorestan Provincial government, which was held at the Barakat Foundation’s CEO office, Eng. Jafari offered to establish a jihadi headquarter to promote sustainable development in the Delfan.
Pointing to this that although Delfan is a region with various capacities and great talents, but suffers from unemployment, CEO of Barakat Foundation emphasized: “The Execution of Imam Khomeini is going to develop 600 job opportunities in Noorabad, Delfan, this year through supporting entrepreneurs and economic empowerment models of Barakat Foundation, especially based on Aseman and Aftab economic models, particularly those jobs which are based on the region’s economic capacities in two parts of agriculture and husbandry.”
He also explained about the establishment of Jihadi headquarter of sustainable development in Delfan Region and said, “Lorestan’s Governor can play a key role in this headquarter as the main coordinator and other relevant organizations and entities in deprivation eradication and employment creation can contribute in implementing purposes of this headquarter.”
“Barakat Foundation has decided in 2018 to create 1400 job opportunities in the Lorestan province. With regard to the nationwide activities of Barakat Foundation in this area, it will increase to 30000 direct and indirect job opportunities across the country,” he added.
In this meeting CEO of Barakat Foundation emphasized that all tasks and activities on economic empowerment must be accelerated and their reflection must be seen in the people’s life, which in turn will encourage them to accompany these initiatives and plans. Supporting entrepreneurs would be useful and it must be put atop the agenda in the Barakat Foundation.
Eng, Jafari also said, “Barakat Foundation, as the executor of strategies and considerations of EIKO on deprivation eradication and economic and social empowerment across the country, a jihadi activity is being done continuously and without any delay. If social and cultural activities are done without economic work, we need to pay attention to social empowerment and job generation particularly.”
In this gathering, Ali Rostamian, MP of Delfan and Selseleh in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, Lorestan Governor, and other authorities declared their viewpoints and besides economic empowerment measures, they asked for more contribution and assistance of Barakat Foundation in constructive and infrastructural projects such as road building, constructing housings for the deprived people in the villages of this province.
It is necessary to note that, Noorabad, Delfan, is the fifth deprived city f the country, which despite a severe deprivation, it enjoys a high capacity in agriculture and husbandry areas. This region also has 8000 nomadic tribes.
