EIKO Takes Giant Stride for Social, Economic Empowerment & Eradication of Deprivation in Fars Province
Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) took giant stride for social and economic empowerment as well as eradication of deprivation in Fars Province.

During the visit of Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) Dr. Mohammad Mokhber to Fars Province, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), valued at 6,500 billion rials, was inked between EIKO and Fars Province Governor-Generalship for the social and economic empowerment as well as eradication of deprivation in Fars Province.

In the signing and sealing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding, Dr. Mohammad Mokhber pointed to the high capabilities and potentials of Fars Province and said, “today, enemies have targeted the country’s economic situation and also livelihood of people, in which, they [enemies] have launched an all-out psychological war against the Islamic Republic of Iran.”

He drew a comparison between the economic situation of the country before and after the Islamic Revolution and said, “today, Islamic Republic of Iran has enjoyed unique potentials and capabilities in terms of resources, facilities, and talents, etc.

 

As the government delegated the administration of activities to people during the eight years of Sacred Defense (Iraqi imposed war against Iran in 1980-1988) and attained victory, today, economy of the country should be delegated to the people, he said, adding, “the government should not monopolize activities, rather it [government] should only set policy and monitor activities in line with producing the best results.”

Generally speaking, the government should pave suitable ground and empower people to administer the economic situation of the country themselves properly, he maintained.

Eradicating deprivation, empowering and boosting economic situation of the country through the generation of employment within the framework of resistance economy is the main mission of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), he said, adding, “the concept of resistance economy means delegation of economic situation of the country to the people in line with producing appropriate results.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, Dr. Mokhbersaid that expansion and development of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), as well as expansion of knowledge-based companies, are of the salient components of the development, adding, “we should focus on the economic projects in the country that can generate more employment opportunities in the shortest time possible.”

He revealed the increasing credit rate of this Memorandum of Understanding from 3,500 to 6,500 billion rials and emphasized, “once this credit rate becomes operational within the next three years, 20 percent will be added to the said rate.”

One of the deprived and underprivileged cities of Fars Province has been selected as “pilot” of resistance economy and all-out development and progress, he said, adding, “Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) has expressed its readiness to support this comprehensive plan wholeheartedly.”

Fars Province Governor General EsmaeilTabadar was the next speaker who pointed to participating and empowering people in the implementation of economic projects of the country as one of the salient characteristics of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO).

As a representative of the government, “I certainly welcome all economic activities, focusing on the generation of employment,” the governor general maintained.

Despite bottlenecks and financial problems, unemployment in Fars Province has experienced a considerable decline in a way that unemployment rate in this province hit from 16.5 percent in the last year (ended March 20, 2018) to 9.9 percent in the current year, he opined.

Fars Province enjoys high potentials and capabilities in the agricultural and tourism fields, he said, adding, “with the implementation of job-generating plans by EIKO, it is hoped that unemployment rate will reduce in this province significantly.”

Under the MoU, EIKO will participate and invest 6,500 billion rials development of economic and infrastructural projects of Fars Province, Dr. Mokhber opined.

Economic and infrastructural projects in this province include as follows: economic empowerment with the approach of generating employment and spurring production, construction operation of development, infrastructural, social and supportive projects in various sectors of Fars Province as well as completion of construction operation of development, infrastructural, social, cultural and supportive projects in Kazeroun city, EIKO head emphasized.

He went on to say that implementing economic empowerment projects, partnership with entrepreneurs with the priority of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) in deprived and underprivileged areas of this province (according to the enterprise-based pattern of Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), implementing social-based economic participation and empowerment projects within the framework of ASEMAN, AFTAB and MAHTAB patterns with the priority of Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) and household jobs, supporting to set up and activate Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs) with a focus on generating employment and maintaining actual employment opportunities and capacities in Fars Province by providing cheap financial facilities, granting interest-free loans to support small-scale jobs as well as supporting knowledge-based projects in Fars Province are of the major obligations of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) in the field of economic empowerment projects with the approach of spurring production and generating employment.

Also, completion of construction operation of development and infrastructural projects [including construction of school, helping to complete construction operation of 500 housing units for the deprived and poor people, implementation of Family Barakat Plan for the treatment of infertile couples in rural and deprived regions of the country in order to support population growth (burgeoning population), strengthening and consolidating family unit as well as providing 500 dowries for the needy couples, etc.] are of the salient measures taken by the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) in the field of completion of construction operation of development, infrastructural, cultural, social and supportive plans as stipulated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), Dr. Mokhber head of EIKO maintained.

In addition, the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) will undertake implementation of the following projects in Fars Province: implementation of water-supply project to 24 villages in Anarestan district, implementation of watershed management projects, participating in providing 50 percent of costs needed for equipping Hazrat Vali-e Asr Hospital, construction of one 6-classroom school in JaamBozorgi Village, completion of construction operation of 100 housing units for the needy and deprived people, construction of five houses of science (scientists) in the villages introduced by the Friday prayers leader of Kazeroun, equipping two seminary schools (special of males and females), providing dowry for 100 needy couples, implementing Family Barakat Plan and helping to equip cooling facilities for the Nursing Home of Kazeroun Welfare Department.

It should be noted that the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) has so far implemented and constructed 127 projects in Fars Province, construction operation of some of which are underway:

Seven projects in the field of economic empowerment, 114 projects in the field of infrastructural, cultural, healthcare and treatment affairs including construction operation of 120-bed Hospital in Neyriz and also four investment projects made by TADBIR Economic Development Group, costing 26,654 billion rials at large.

Let’s Delegate and Transfer Economy to People

Also, during the visit of Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) Dr. Mohammad Mokhber to Fars Province and in line with implementation of a plan dubbed ‘economic empowerment and generation of employment’, EIKO inaugurated two economic projects in less developed and disadvantaged areas of Fars Province [including LABAN DOUSH DAMAK KUAR Company, HILOO Wood Industrial Company in KUAR and Shiraz Industrial Township], the two of which were put into operation. These two mentioned industrial and production units became operational in cooperation with Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) in Fars Province.

In the inaugural ceremony of these two projects, Dr. Mokhber pointed to the main activity of EIKO and said, “creating a business, economic empowerment and generating employment opportunities in less developed and underprivileged areas of the country are the main mission of EIKO.”

One of the job-creation plans of EIKO, moreover supporting entrepreneurs in enterprise-based economic projects, is social-based activities which have presently been implemented in many provinces of the country, he said, adding, “it is predicted that 10,000 direct occupations will be generated in this field before the termination of the current Iranian calendar year in 1397 (to end March 20, 2019).”

Enterprise-based economic empowerment projects are one of the other job-creating projects of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), he said, adding, “in this industrial and production plan, investment and economic participation is underway in 31 provinces of the country, the total of which will finally be delegated and transferred to the people.”

He termed transferring and delegating affairs to people is the main strategy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) and said, “according to the sublime recommendation of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, popularization of economy and delegation of economic activities of country to people has been put atop agenda of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO).”

It should be noted that LABAN DOUSH DAMAK KUAR Company is busy acting in the field of producing high-quality dairy products which have been put into operation with the participation of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), costing 44 billion rials.

This industrial and production company enjoys high capacity of receiving 50 tons of milk per day, he said, adding, “once this company is put into operation, it will generate direct employment opportunities for 44 job-seeking people and also 150 indirect employment opportunities in the region.”

Also, HILOO Wood Industrial Company is busy acting in the field of producing laminate and parquet which was put into operation with the participation of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), costing 117 billion rials at large. This industrial and production company enjoys the capacity of producing eight million square meters of wooden products. Once this industrial and production company is put into operation, it will generate 160 direct employment opportunities in this province.

Granting Ownership Title Deeds of Residential Units to 200 Families in Sa’adatshahr

The ceremony of granting title-deeds of residential units to 200 families was held in the city Sa’adatshahr in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Mokhber Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO).

The ceremony was also attended by Ayatollah LotfollahDejkam Friday prayers leader of Shiraz and the Leader’s representative in Fars Province, Mehdi Boroumandi representative of people of Marvdasht, Arsanjan and Pasargad in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament also called Majlis), governor of Pasargad city, Eng. Jafari Managing Director of Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), Friday prayers leader of Pasargad city as well as noble people of this city.

Dr. Mohammad Mokhberintroduced the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) as a service-rendering institution which has been tasked with generating employment in less developed and underprivileged areas of the country.

He expounded on the measures taken by EIKO and said, “generating 400,000 employment opportunities in the deprived and less developed areas of the country, constructing 1,350 schools, 1200 mosques and cultural centers across the country, granting 67,000 interest-free loan, paying treatment costs of a number of cancer patients, paying treatment costs of about 4,000 infertile couples and also 2,000 deaf children as well as constructing 21 residential units for the deprived people are of the salient measures taken by EIKO in past years in the field of social-economic, empowerment, infrastructural and utility activities.”

Speaking among the people of Pasargad city, Dr. Mokhber said, “EIKO has promised to construct an equipped school, reconstruct and renovate ImamzadehHossein (AS) Tomb and Resting Place of Unknown Martyrs in this city.”

Ayatollah Dejkam Friday prayers leader of Shiraz and the Leader’s representative in Fars Province was the next speaker who praised measures taken by the EIKO in Fars Province and said, “services rendered by the EIKO in Fars province is a gift donated by the Leader of the Islamic Revolution to the noble people of this province.”

For his part,Mehdi Boroumandi representative of people of Marvdasht, Arsanjan and Pasargad in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament also called Majlis) pointed to the salient services and measures taken by the EIKO in this province and said, “as an exemplary model in the country, Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) took valuable measures in the country including simultaneous construction of 21 equipped schools in Fars Province, the number of which increased up to 22 schools with the cooperation and collaboration of Dr. Mohammad Mokhber Head of EIKO.”

Boroumandi pointed to the issue of ‘unemployment and lack of employment’ as the most important problem facing Pasargad city and said, “unemployment rate will reduce in Pasargad city under the auspices of financial support of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO).”

Earlier, the ground was broken for the construction operation of Barakat one 6-classroom school, located in KoohSabz Village, Marvdasht sub-province, in the presence of Dr. Mohammad Mokhber head of EIKO and his accompanying delegation.

In the same direction, construction operation of 20 Barakat schools started in Fars Province with 105 classrooms concurrently, he opined.

Visiting trusteeship and Board of Trustees of Ahmad ibn Musa (AS) Shrine dubbed ‘Shahcheragh (AS) and also an esteemed family of martyrs Jafari and Hoshyar (martyrs in the city of Sa’adatshahr) are of the other programs of the daylong trip of EIKO’s head to Fars Province.
