Employment Is the Country’s Development Pivot
While condemning Ahwaz Terrorist Attacks, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber, Head of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) said: “The enemy has problems with the version of Islam which is rooted in the Ashura Culture. The sacred system of the Islamic Republic of Iran is somehow the representative of Ashura culture and it is the main reason why the despotic states show atrocity and hostility against our nation.”

Speaking to students of the less-developed parts of the country through the inauguration ceremony of 110 Barakat Schools, awarded by Ayatollah Khamenei, Leader of Islamic Revolution, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber said, “Our enemies once showed their hostility through imposing the Iran-Iraq war against us, another day, they used disintegration conspiracies and today we see that they have started an all-out war against our nation and revolution. During the Sacred-Defense, only a part of our country and people were involved with the war, but in today’s war, we are witnessing a full-scale new economic war, as the whole country and all people are entangled with,” Public Relations department of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) reported.

“Victory of the Islamic revolution, successful management of the Imposed War and neutralization of conspiracies all are gained because of Ashura culture and school. In this school, certain human beings are trained who are able to fight against oppression and to recognize the real enemies and nobody is able to block their way ahead. They have ignored this World and always follow the immaculate Imams,” he added.

The head of EIKO stated, “I was in the frontlines of the war during its all eight years and I saw closely that no victory was gained before people entered the scene.”

Emphasizing the fact that the Islamic Republic of Iran says the first and last word in the Middle East Region, he added, “Mocking the United States’ president in the General Assembly of the United Nations reflects Iran’s power which has succeeded to break its hegemony. Today no decision is made in the region without role and presence of Iran.”

Dr. Mokhber opined: “We need to explain the status of people and our country during the last regime era to the third generation of the Revolution. Our current condition is incomparable with what we were then.”

Referring to some data and reports about economy and livelihood condition prior to the Islamic Revolution, Dr. Mokhber stated: “We need to share the facts with people. In 1977, our country has 30 million population and we used to sell five million barrels oil per day and according to the data issued by the World Bank about 46 percent of our people were under the poverty line, but today with 85 million population and selling only two million oil barrels per day we see that the number of people who are under the poverty line has been decreased considerably.”

“Before the Islamic revolution, the mortality rate of children was 120 per 1000, which it would increase to 500 children in the deprived areas of the country. Likewise, 68 percent of the adult population of the country was illiterate and about 60 percent of children who went to schools were failed to complete the primary school. Then, only 30 percent of the qualified people were able to enter universities and only one person out of each 90 Iranians had a personal vehicle. An American author has written in his book that the welfare and development status in Iran, with oil, was worse than Syria, without oil. He also writes that the population of Iranian physicians who worked in New York City within those years was more than all Iranian physicians who lived inside the country.”

Pointing out to this fact that the most important problem of the country, for now, is unemployment, he said, “A country like Iran with 2700 km accessibility to seas, proper infrastructures, godsend resources, and numerous facilities should not suffer from the wide unemployment. Netherland, which is as big as Guilan, Mazandaran and green part of Golestan Provinces and whose average rainfall is less than these provinces, earns 85 billion USD from its agriculture sector each year.”

Head of the EIKO emphasized that a general mobilization, strong unity, and national determination is required to eradicate unemployment.

Stressing the emphasis of the Leader on transferring economy to people, the president of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) said, “Whenever we transferred management to people we have been successful. By this day we have transferred a total of 360 joint ventures to people and we have 500,000 stakeholders.”

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said: “Employment constitutes the country’s development pivot and for this reason, EIKO pursues this issue. Every day I receive the report about the number of jobs generated by the EIKO from the whole country and I am very sensitive about the employment issue. Until this date, we have generated 400000 job opportunities across the country and we will continue this strongly.”

Dr. Mokhber reminded emphases of the Leader about the exceptional activities and said, “Recently, we have concluded a cochlear implant memorandum of understanding about deaf children in the deprived region in order to guarantee the health of every child against this disorder. We also sent 2000 dowries to couples who live in the less-developed areas, which all of them were Iran-made products in order to support the domestic production. On the occasion of the new academic year, 150000 packs of stationeries, in the framework of “Mashgh Ehsan” plan were prepared and sent to students in the deprived areas.

He also emphasized that all facilities and possibilities of EIKO have been mobilized to eradicate deprivation and he asked the CEO of the Barakat Foundation to name 25 schools in the Khuzestan Province which are ready to be operationalized after 25 martyrs of the Ahvaz terrorist attack.
