The execution operation ceremony of construction of Iranshahr’s Barakat 540-bed Hospital with the contribution of EIKO was attended by Dr. Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, Minister of health and medical education, Eng. Saeed Jafari, CEO of Barakat Foundation, Ahmad Ali Moohebati, Governor General of Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Friday Prayer Leaders, a group of provincial and local authorities, The Public Relations Department of Barakat Foundation, an Affiliated Foundation of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) reported.
Explaining about the construction of this hospital, Eng. Saeed Jafari, CEO of Barakat Foundation said, “Given the fact that Sistan-Baluchestan Province is one of the target provinces of EIKO in the field of deprivation eradication and economic and social empowerment. Along with other job generation projects which are being implemented in this province, this foundation is also active in other fields such as improving medicine and healthcare of people who are living in the deprived area.”
“Every year many people from the deprived area of the province have to leave their home to go to near provinces such as Yazd, Khorasan Razavi, etc. in order to find healthcare services, which it brings about many problems for them, per se, so launching Iranshahr’s Barakat Hospital can prevent such travels to the near provinces for taking healthcare services while it can improve the healthcare and medicine indexes in the Sistan-Baluchestan Province,” CEO of Barakat Foundation added.
Eng. Jafari stated his hopes that after construction and launching Iranshahr’s Barakat 540-bed Hospital, healthcare and medical indicators of southern Sistan-Baluchestan Province would be improved, considerably.
It is worthy to say that, Barakat Foundation, as the representative of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order, is working on the construction of 11 hospitals and 44 oncology centers with the capacity of 2500 beds across the country, out which eight hospitals have been finalized. Barakat Foundation also has taken a giant stride to cover medical services in about 525 rural points through building 200 comprehensive health centers and healthcare centers and medical bases across the deprived regions, out which 88 centers are located in the Sistan-Baluchestan Province.
