Simultaneously with the blessed birth anniversary of the Exalted Prophet (P) and in the Unity Week, during the visit of the managing director or Barakat Foundation of Hormozgan province a number of completed infrastructure and development projects, including the Boarding School of Kolahoo, a village of Bashagard Township was officially opened.
Mohammad Torkamaneh also visited the completed Barakat Dormitory of Khomeini Shar city, No. 1 Pumping Station of Tidar, and a number of the foundation's job creation plans.
The managing director of Barakat Foundation elaborating on the details of the opened projects, said, "The Barakat Boarding School of Kolahoo has six classes and is constructed in a 1,500 square meter land."
"Putting to use this boarding school will provide room and board and education facilities for boy students, who cannot have access to daily transportation to and from schools, in high school level of the deprived villages in Bashagard region.
Torkamaneh further reiterated that after the construction of the six-class Boarding School of Kolahoo the students in neighboring villages can reside in it, so they could study all week long at peace of mind, and go back home during the weekends.
Further elaborating on Barakat Foundation's activities in the field of constructing boarding schools, he said, "Construction of 14 boarding schools with 116 classrooms is in the agenda of Barakat Foundation, of which nine schools have already been constructed and put to use, including this one in Kolahoo."
Opening of Barakat Dormitory in Khomeini Shahr city, in near future
Visiting the Barakat Dormitory in Khomeini Shahr city, the Barakat Foundation managing director said that this boys' dormitory with its 24 rooms is ready for boarding eight students in each room.
Torkamaneh added, "The Barakat Dormitory in Khomeini Shahr city is constructed in a 1,500 square meter land and will be put to use in near future."
He said that this dormitory for boy student in high school level is constructed near their high school.
The managing director of Barakat Foundation stressed that the student dormitories are all constructed in deprived districts of the country, adding, "So far 19 Barakat Dormitories are constructed in 10 provinces and either gifted to the students in those regions, or are ready to be officially opened.
Creating over 2,000 jobs in Bashgard
Focusing on No. 1 Pumping Station of Tidar, Torkamaneh said, "Now that this pumping station is put to use, 25 villages of Bashagrd region are benefitted from hygienic drinking water. Totally, 25 villages of Bashagard are scheduled to use the pipe water pumped from this station in this phase, while the remaining 32 villages will be benefitted from it in the next phase of the project, since totally 57 villages are the target society of the project."
The managing director of Barakat Foundation during his visit of Hormozgan province also visited the implemented job creation plans in Bashagard.
He said during that visit, "So far 714 social-based job creation plans, based on 965 billion rials of investments have been implemented in Bashagard, that have created 2,142 direct and indirect jobs in the villages of this region, while 300 new plans, too, are in the process of being implemented."
Focusing on school building in Bashagard, he reiterated, "Construction of 18 schools were in the agenda, 14 of which are already completed and put to use."
The managing director of Barakat Foundation emphasizes that so far 1,578 billion rials of investments in the fields of partnership in economic empowering of the poor, school construction, mosques, libraries, dormitories, homes for Friday Prayer imams, homes for the deprived people, and sanitary drinking water pipelines in deprived districts of Bashagard have been made.
