Fars Governor-General Appreciates EIKO’s Aids to the Shirazi Flood-Stricken People
Fars Governor General stressed: When the flood started, the pressure was so high that even the smallest aids appeared large, so we called the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order and Dr. Mokhber promised us to send any sort of assistance.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Barakat Foundation, in the ceremony held to grant 1000 home appliances packages and 2000 stationary packages to the Shiraz flood-stricken people, Enayatollah Rahimi, Fars Governor-General, said that the recent flood in Shiraz although recorded a great tragedy in our country, but it brought about cohesion. “In this accident, more than 300 cars were damaged and we lost 21 countrymen of us,” he added.

“More than 300 visitors were accommodated in Shiraz City on March 25 and 26 nights and 70000 meals were served and we managed the crisis of the flood immediately with other organizations,” he added.

Fars Governor-General also said, “When the flood started, the pressure was so high that even the smallest aids appeared large, so we called the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order and Dr. Mokhber promised us to send any sort of assistance.”

“The Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order approved a considerable credit for the Shirazi flood-stricken people, and today we see that they are distributing their aids in the form of home appliances and stationeries,” he added.

“The resources of the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order were managed properly. Within two past months we cleaned and rinsed houses of flood-stricken people and repaired and maintained 207 residential units,” he explained.

Pointing to the fact that the recent flood imposed 700 billion tomans damages against the province, the governor general of Fars Province said, “I appreciate people’s patience, especially in the flood-stricken areas, and I apologize for potential shortcomings.”
