The closing ceremony of 2nd National Jihadi Activists Festival was held in the presence of Brigadier General Mohammad-Ali Jafari Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Brigadier General GholamhosseinGheybpour Head of BasijMostazafan Organization, Mohammad-JavadNikravesh Head of Students’ Basij Organization and a number of state and military officials.
In this festival, salient Jihadi measures taken by Barakat Foundation, affiliated to EIKO, were appreciated in line with warding off depravity, eliminating poverty, social and economic empowerment of less developed and disadvantaged areas of the country.
Under the auspices of its strong and powerful arm i.e. Barakat Foundation, Execution of Imam Khomeini Order has thus far taken giant strides in the field of warding off depravity, eliminating poverty, helping empower social and economic activity of less developed and deprived regions of the country, generating employment and supporting local entrepreneurs in disadvantaged areas of the country.
EIKO has thus far launched 345 economic enterprise-based projects, 150 facilities-based plans, 10,000 community-based employment projects in 31 provinces of the country, a total of which have generated 220,000 employments for job-seeking people.
Moreover, the Barakat Foundation has planned for the construction operation of more than 34,000 development and infrastructural projects, costing over 15,500 billion rials. So far, the Foundation has implemented 14,000 development projects. In addition, Barakat Foundation has concluded a contract for the construction of 1,600 Barakat schools with 9,000 classrooms, costing over 8,200 billion rials. Of total 1,600 schools, 1,200 of which have been put into operation with 6,400 classrooms at large.
Also, the Foundation has concluded a contract for the construction of 1,263 cultural and religious centers such as mosque, seminary school, and library in the deprived and disadvantaged areas of the country, 1,000 units of which have been put into operation.
Hereunder are of the other social and infrastructural activities taken by the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) in the deprived and disadvantaged areas of the country:
Helping construction of 30,000 residential units for the needy and deprived people, implementing 110 development projects such as supplying water and power, bridge and road construction, completing construction operation of 11 hospitals and four advanced cancer treatment centers with the capacity of 2,500 equipped beds in the deprived areas of the country, constructing 200 integrated healthcare and treatment centers, issuing various types of insurance policy for covering 1,900,000 people in the deprived and disadvantaged areas of the country, presenting electronic health services to 350,000 people living in the deprived areas of the country, paying 6,500 billion rials interest-free loan to more than 80,000 low-income families, supporting 20,000 orphans financially, putting 200,000 orphans under the insurance coverage within the framework of “MahdaviBarakat Plan”, donating 4,000 dowries to needy young couples, costing over 160 billion rials, paying 340 billion rials ex-gratia loan for the provision of drug cost of 50,000 needy patients, treating 5,000 infertile couples in rural areas, construction of green space on a land area as large as 3,000 ha, etc.
Generally speaking, Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) has thus far allocated over 95,000 billion rials in the deprived and less developed areas of the country in the field of social responsibilities, warding off deprivation, socioeconomic empowerment of people in underprivileged areas of the country.
After the special emphasis of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, a service-rendering Jihadi Headquarters was established in the EIKO in order to take advantage of capacities of the Headquarters for supporting Jihadi groups.
Of the main mission of the Headquarters, it should be referred to: dispatching Jihadi groups to the deprived and villages of the country and hiring them for warding off deprivation and also rendering quality services to the deprived people of these areas.
It should be noted that the 2nd National Jihadi Activists Festival was held by the Construction Basij Organization with the aim of introducing top and exemplary Jihadi groups in nine areas including socioeconomic activities, art and etiquette, media, culture, international, strategy and health.
Presently, 11 Jihadi groups are busy active in various parts of the country.
