Barakat Foundation to inaugurate over 30K employment projects

Managing Director of Barakat Foundation Mohammad Torkamaneh said that Barakat will carry out 30,500 job-creation projects for special and underprivileged social strata.

 

These special and underprivileged social strata include bread-winning women, Kulbars, families of martyrs and veterans, religious scholars and their families, disabled and families with disabilities, families of children deprived of education, and people who have reversed immigration and returned to their villages, he added.

 

The implementation of the 30,500 job creation plans creates 105,000 direct and indirect jobs for these special strata and other people, he underlined.

 

The total volume of investment to launch employment plans for the mentioned strata this year is 54,900 billion rials.

 

Stressing on Barakat Foundation's support for special social strata, he said that the Foundation launched nearly 29,000 employment plans for these strata in 2021.

 

Barakat Foundation has focused 80 percent of its activities on economic empowerment, employment, and livelihoods of the people, and job creation is the foundation's main mission, Torkamaneh reiterated.

Providing positive statistics on the foundation's performance in the field of employment, the Managing Director of Barakat Foundation underlined that up to now, 190,000 community-based employment plans have been implemented in deprived and rural areas of the country, which has resulted in the creation of nearly 600,000 domestic jobs opportunities.

 

He added that today, Barakat Foundation's facilitator network is in constant link with 32,000 local officials and authorities.

 

Emphasizing the activities of the Barakat Foundation throughout the country, Torkamaneh noted that 12,000 villages and 390 cities in all provinces are covered by Barakat Foundation's employment activities.
