He stressed that water supply operations to 740 rural areas are currently underway and residents of these areas will soon have drinking water.
Regarding the water supply target points of the Barakat Foundation, he noted that rural areas of 8 provinces with high water stress such as Khuzestan, Hormuzgan, Sistan-Balouchestan, Kerman, South Khorasan, and Yazd are the priorities of the Barakat Foundation's water supply projects.
Torkamaneh reiterated that Barakat Foundation is committed to providing 3,400 billion rials of credit for water supply to 2,700 villages, which has already paid 2,300 billion rials.
Last year, in the form of a memorandum of understanding with Khuzestan Water Resources, the Foundation started watering 702 villages located in water-stressed areas of Khuzestan province, he underscored.
For this purpose, 400 kilometers of plumbing was carried out and 1,000 billion rials of credit was allocated by the Barakat Foundation, he highlighted.
Stressing on the water supply movement of Barakat Foundation in the country, he said that currently, water supply operations to 740 rural areas in water-stressed provinces are underway.
In addition to job creation and economic, and social empowerment as its main mission, he noted that the Foundation also has a wide range of programs and activities in the areas of construction and infrastructure.
In describing the details of Barakat Foundation's construction and infrastructure projects during this year, Torkamaneh stated that the construction and completion of 10,000 projects including more than 8,000 housing units, 200 schools, 200 mosques, and cultural and religious centers, 700 water supply projects, restoration of 600 aqueducts and 30 health centers are on the agenda.
He stressed that these projects are implemented in 31 provinces of the country and 4500 villages are covered by the Foundation's activities in the areas of construction and infrastructure.
Referring to the overall activities of Barakat Foundation in the field of construction, Torkamaneh noted that the Foundation has built and completed 58,700 construction and infrastructure projects including school, hospital, library, Darolquran, laboratory, mosque, emergency base, Mosalla, Health House, Seminary, Medical Equipment Center, Health Center, Bridge Construction, Road Construction and Water Supply in deprived and rural areas of the country are committed to constructing and 48,800 of them has been completed and put into operation.
