Barakat Foundation Donates 150,000 Packages of Stationery to Students in Deprived Areas of Country
150,000 packages of stationery were sent by Barakat Foundation to the deprived areas of the country within the framework of Nationwide Campaign entitled ‘Mashq-e Ehsan’.

In this ceremony, Head of EIKO Dr. Mohammad Mokhber emphasized, “the number of these stationeries are provided and sent to students in the deprived areas of the country at the request of Leader of the Islamic Revolution.”

This year, “we decided to send 150,000 packages of stationery and school bags to the students in the deprived areas of the country in cooperation with the charity centers and Jihadi Groups of EIKO.”

In the nationwide campaign entitled ‘Mashq-e Ehsan’, 25,000 packages of stationery were donated by EIKO, he said, adding, “in addition, 25,000 packages of stationery were donated by the people, total of which was sent to the deprived areas of the country.”

Given the above issue, 50,000 packages of stationery were sent to the deprived areas of the country by EIKO and people separately.

In addition to 50,000 packages of stationery, Leader of the Islamic Revolution donated other 50,000 packages of stationery, he said, adding, “totally, 150,000 packages of stationery were sent to the deprived and disadvantaged areas of the country.”

He went on to say that EIKO supports vulnerable and deprived class of society, he maintained.

For instance, 2,000 dowries, valued at about 130 billion rials, were sent to the young couples in the deprived and underprivileged areas of the country, Dr. Mokhber added.

Generation of employment and economic empowerment in the deprived areas of the country is the main task of EIKO, he said, adding, “in the past few years, more than 400,000 employment opportunities were created by EIKO in the deprived areas of the country.”

Construction operation of 1,400 schools is underway in the deprived areas of the country, 1,000 of which have been delivered, he said, adding, “the remaining schools will be put into operation in the very near future.”

Presently, 25,000 infrastructural projects have been constructed by EIKO in the deprived areas and villages of the country in the fields of water- and power-supply projects, construction of bridge, road, housing.

EIKO has paid the cost of prescriptions of the needy patients suffering from cancer, he said, adding, “EIKO has thus far paid 60,000 interest-free loans to the needy people in the deprived areas of the country.”

So far, 9,000 infertile couples have been recognized in the deprived areas of the country, he maintained.

In conclusion, Dr. Mokhber said, “Barakat Ehsan Foundation was set up at the order of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution in line with supporting people in the deprived and disadvantaged areas of the country.”
