On the sidelines of a visit to the Barakat Foundation pavilion at the 29th International Exhibition of Agriculture, Food, Machinery and Related Industries "Iran Agrofood 1401" at the Permanent Place of Tehran International Exhibitions, Torkamaneh said that 40% of Barakat Foundation's activities are in community-based employment and a lot of its enterprise-based projects focused on agriculture and food security.
Explaining the Foundation's actions in creating employment in the fields of agriculture and food, Torkamaneh said that from 195,000 community-based projects created up to now, 106,000 projects are devoted to agriculture, food, fisheries, machinery, and related industries.
He continued that launching these 106,000 community-based projects has provided business opportunities for 318,000 people in the field of agriculture and food directly and indirectly.
Regarding the support of active companies in the field of agriculture and food, Torkamaneh noted that 261 active companies and complexes in the fields of agriculture, food, fisheries, machinery, and related industries are covered by the Barakat Foundation, which in addition to producing a variety of products, they have created jobs for nearly 82,000 people.
He stressed that the volume of investment to launch 106,261 community-based and enterprise-based employment plans with a total employment capacity of 400,000 people amounts to 125,000 billion rials.
The food security issue is one of the main topics that are being pursued at the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order and the Foundation, he further noted.
He underlined that Barakat Foundation's focus on job creation in agriculture, food, fisheries, and related industries, in addition to providing job opportunities, has resulted in significant production of various products, including red meat, milk, and greenhouse fruits, fisheries, fish and aquatic animals.
Many of these products are exported to other states in addition to being used in domestic markets so 70 percent of the exports of supportive and participatory companies of Barakat Foundation are devoted to agricultural products and food, he highlighted.
Pointing to the reasons for the Foundation's participation in the exhibition “Iran Agrofood 1401”, Torkamaneh underscored that the sale of small projects products and participatory enterprises is one of the main priorities of the Barakat Foundation, and this year we have special programs in the field of selling entrepreneurs' products. In this regard, in addition to participating in national and international exhibitions, special exhibitions of Foundation products will be held in 10 provinces of the country.
Emphasizing the high capacity of the agriculture and food sector for export, he added that the Foundation will have special support from its entrepreneurs in the field of marketing and especially digital marketing in this year, and for this purpose, holding training courses and launching advertising campaigns are on the agenda.
Referring to the successful presence of the Barakat Foundation booth at the exhibition, he stated that producers of agricultural products and food can register their plans by visiting the Barakat Foundation application at the address of the App.barkat.ir to support them after expert reviews.
Torkamaneh announced the Foundation's special support to knowledge-based companies in the field of agriculture and emphasized that the use of the capacities and capabilities of knowledge-based companies in the production of agricultural products and in processes such as planting, irrigation, packaging, and processing of products, in particular, is on the Foundation's agenda this year.
