According to our reporter’s report, in the first phase of this greenhouse which has been started last year, more than 5 ha greenhouse with the production capacity of more than 2000 tons of various greenhouse products was launched by head of EIKO and provincial authorities.
The first phase of Zarandia Hydroponic greenhouse, where it is supposed to produce cucurbits, vegetables such as tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, etc., succeeded to generate jobs for 400 people, either directly or indirectly. According to the previous planning a great deal of its products and crops are exported to the Middle Asian states.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of people in the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1979 and running the country in the following years, Dr. Mokhber reiterated that both during after-the-revolution years or during Iran-Iraq years our enemy has always tried to target our people and the enemy has spared no efforts to depart people from their revolution.
Referring to his own memoirs of the Iran-Iraq War days, he added, “Both in Dezful and in Tehran, the enemy’s rockets used to target civilians, because the enemy knew and knows that the sole way to attack the Islamic Republic system is to detrain people.”
He also referred to two serious issues emphasized by the Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, i.e. cultural invasion and Economy of Resistance and said, “As you may see, in these two main pivots, the key issue is people and Leader insists on fighting against “cultural invasion” and implementing “Economy of Resistance” in order to keep people closer.”
Pointing to the fact that we have problems in employment and livelihood of people, he said that our country is not a state where generating 3 to 4 million jobs would be difficult; neither in terms of material, nor in terms of opportunities and capacities which are available in our country.
“When we talk about deprived provinces, many may recall Sistan-Baluchestan province, but this province has access to the ocean as long as 100 km, with this access, we can govern half of the country,” he added.
He also pointed to capacities of the country in various sectors, he said, “I have said many times that we have access to seas for 2700 km and we are the first producer of oil and gas in the world. We have some unique capacities in terms of mines in our central provinces such as Yazd and Kerman. We just need a proper planning to void such problems.”
Saying that employment is one of key problems of our society, Head of EIKO stressed that today the main concern of all compassionate authorities and activists of the Islamic Republic system must be empowerment, both in terms of economic employment considerations.
Pointing to the fact that the employment problem does not solve only by the government and everybody need to assist the government in this regard, people may play a key role either, Dr. Mokhber said, “People have resources, management capability and creativity necessary for entrepreneurship and governing affairs. We need to start a public mobilization for employment issue.”
He also said, “Since the Leader brought up “Economy of Resistance”, we in the EIKO have focused our efforts on this issue. Our policy is based on this that we never approach anything which is not consistent with the Economy of Resistance and we don’t intend to remain in projects we have started.”
Pointing to the projects which are being completed by EIKO in the Zarandia Region, Dr, Mokhber said, “We opened five ha hydroponic greenhouse in this region, and we have paved the condition for further 10 ha, and we hope to increase them up to 50 ha in the near future.”
“We have a 1000-cattle husbandry in this area, which are seeking for to improve it to 3000-cattle husbandry and it will be increased to 10000-cattle husbandry within three next years.” He added.
Emphasizing that a great deal of butter consumed in the country is imported from other countries, Head of EIKO reiterated, “We intend to launch a dairy production factory in this region, by which at least 10 percent of our demands to the imported butter will be met.”
He emphasized that EIKO is ready even now to transfer all of these projects to people and added, “Upon completion and transfer of projects to people, the EIKO will repeat the same model in other parts of the country in order to improve agriculture and job generation purposes.”
In this ceremony, Saeed Farokhi, the Deputy of Markazi Province Economic Affairs and Resources Development Coordination Center, appreciated the great measures done by EIKO in order to eradicate deprivation and called the Zarandia Hydroponic Greenhouse a good task and an intelligent investment made by EIKO in the Markazi Province.
Pointing to the drought state and the declined rainfalls crisis in Iran, Saeed Farokhi said, “For now, to fight against the crisis extension of greenhouses is one of the most important strategies. Greenhouses consume less water in comparison to the traditional agriculture methods and it is not only useful for saving our water resources, but also is followed by the food security.”
Emphasizing that Zarandia Hydroponic Greenhouse would be good role model for other parts of the Markazi Province and the Country, he said, “relying on its talents to generate jobs and absorb foreign current for the country, this greenhouse is an effective measure to realize Economy of Resistance and orders of the Leader in this regard.”
Farokhi also pointed to several projects which are prepared for job generation and deprivation eradication in various parts of the Markazi Province and asked EIKO to help Markazi Province in order to realize its projects.
At the same time with opening of the first phase of Zarandia hydroponic greenhouse, the second phase of this project was started. In the second phase of this project, there will be more than 10000 ha greenhouse with 500 billion Rials investment and the capacity to generate jobs for 800 people, both directly and indirectly. The total capacity for investment for this project will reach to 2000 billion Rials in the third phase. Relying on this investment, over 50 ha hydroponic greenhouse, with the capacity of producing 20000 tons of greenhouse products will be developed and 4000 people will find jobs both directly and indirectly.
One of the most important tips has been considered in construction of this greenhouse is minimizing water usage. In this greenhouse, despite its traditional counterparts where seeds are planted on soil, planting is done over hydroponic beds with the minimum water consumption. Crops produced in this greenhouse are ten times more than what is produced in the conventional greenhouses.
