EIKO Allocates 5,500 Billion Rials Worth of Credit for Generating Employment in Flood-Affected Areas
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked between the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) and Housing Foundation of the Islamic Revolution on renovating and repairing the residential units damaged as a result of flood in flood-affected areas of the country, Public Relations Dept. of the Foundation reported.

This MoU was signed by head of EIKO Dr. Mohammad Mokhber and Head of Housing Foundation of the Islamic Revolution AlirezaTabesh.

Under the MoU, EIKO will renovate and repair 20,000 residential houses of the needy and deprived people whose houses damaged in flood. 

In this regard, priority has been given to the residential houses damaged in the flood-hit rural areas across the country.

It should be noted that EIKO has considered over 300 billion rials worth of credit for renovating and repairing 20,000 residential units damaged in flood-hit areas of the country.

Helping renovate and repair residential units damaged in recent flood in the country is one of the main priorities of EIKO, Head of EIKO Dr. Mohammad Mokhber emphasized.

Under the deal, EIKO promised to pay loans to those needy people whose houses were damaged by flood, Dr. Mokhber added.

He pointed to the second priority of EIKO in flood-hit areas and said, provision and distribution of light livestock among flood-hit people is followed up by the EIKO.”

He also referred to the generation of employment as the other priorities of EIKO I flood-hit areas of the country and stated, “EIKO has considered 5,500 billion worth of credit for generating 35,000 direct and indirect jobs.”

EIKO has targeted generation of 100,000 direct and indirect jobs in te current year across the country, he said and added, “EIKO generated 80,000 job opportunities in the past year in 2018.”

It should be noted that Barakat Foundation, represented by EIKO, has so far has constructed 9,906 housing units for the deprived and needy people with total investment of 3,000 billion rials in cooperation with some institutions as joint venture.

 

Construction of 10,055 housing units for the people living in the deprived areas of the country is underway in cooperation with Imam Khomeini Relief Committee (IKRC) and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) with total investment of 4,500 billion rials, Dr. Mokhber added.

Moreover, renovating and repairing 20,000 residential units damaged in the recent flood in the country, EIKO has planned for constructing houses in the deprived areas in the provinces of North Khorasan, Fars and Sanqor in Kermanshah province.

 

In addition, TADBIR Building Group, a subsidiary of EIKO, has so far constructed 3,386 residential units for the needy people in deprived areas of the country with the total investment of 2,700 billion rials.

It should be noted that EIKO has contributed in construction of 44,897 housing units for the needy people in deprived areas of the country.
