Pointing to activities of Barakat Foundation, an affiliated foundation of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), Alireza Ebrahimi, said, “Concurrent with the beginning of the new school year, a 14-classroom school was launched by Barakat Foundation in one of the deprived zones of the region where now 1000 students are studying there through two shifts. Construction of this school had been left uncompleted because of numerous problems of the government, but it was completed and launched as soon as the Barakat Foundation intervened and started to launch it.”

Explaining about services offered by Barakat Foundation in Azadshahr and Ramiyan, he added, “Construction one another school and several mosques in villages of the region have been started by Barakat Foundation. Other social activities of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order, on certain fields such as treating infertility and supplying dowries for deprived couples, will enhance hope and life expectancy in the region.”

Pointing to 200,000 people who live in his electorate, he said, “About 60000 people are covered by supportive institutes such as Imam Khomeini Relief Foundation and State Welfare Organization, which it shows that how deprived and poor in our region. Most people of the region are working on small agricultural lands.

Stating hopes about coverage of his electorate by services of Barakat Foundation, MP of Azadshahr and Ramiyan to the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said, “We are trying to pave the way for participation of Barakat Foundation in the field of the agricultural processing and supplementary industries in the region. Sadly, a great deal of the agricultural crops, especially cucurbits, of the region, is wasted. Likewise, our region enjoys good capacities in cultivating medical herbs and planting saffron, which would result in occupational opportunities.”

He referred to unemployment as the main problem of Azadshahr and Ramiyan and said, “The formal unemployment rate is 12%, but the actual rate seems considerably more than that. Development of job opportunities by the Barakat Foundation would result in economic and social empowerment in both Azadshahr and Ramiyan.”

Emphasizing that Barakat Foundation and its services still are unknown for people and authorities of the country, Ebrahimi stated, “It is necessary to shed more lights on activities and services of Barakat Foundation for people and authorities.”
