In the ceremony held for signing the MOU for constructing the second 1000 schools of Barakat Foundation, Bat’haie, Minister of Education, said, “Today is a blessed day for me, because in these blessed days of anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution a blissful measure is being done by EIKO and Barakat Foundation. One of the most important goals of Islamic Revolution, or the most important goal of our revolution, is governing the country based on justice, so to achieve this goal, the first step is institutionalizing the justice in the education system.”

“All Iranian children, apart from their economic, social and household status and where they live, must enjoy similar and same educational facilities, and it is the most important responsibility of education in our society. In fact, children who live in the deprived and remote areas need to enjoy facilities as much as those children who live in the non-deprived areas,” he added.

“Education facilities and their accessibility must be similar for all children, but we are far from this point sadly, as there is a gap between deprived and non-deprived regions in this regard”, Minister of Education said.

“What is being done by EIKO and Barakat Foundation is a deserved and splendid work which it will promote a praised task in our country.” Bathaie said.

“I think that the spiritual benefits of this work are much more than its physical benefits. Likewise, since Islamic Revolution in Iran, nearly 500,000 classrooms have been built and in fact about 90% of classrooms we have now have been built after victory of Islamic Revolution and about 30% of them have been constructed by philanthropists and it is due to religious teachings and values and Barakat Foundation has played a key role in this movement”, he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Bat’haie said, “Apart from school building in the deprived and less-developed areas, we are in dire need of accessory spaces such as sport and recreation halls, so I beg you to follow these projects more seriously.”

“Sadly, there are schools in the deprived areas of the country which have not any toilet. So, constructing toilets and libraries, which can be centers where students can enhance their knowledge, are among items which need assistance of Barakat Foundation.” Bat’haie added.

To conclude his remarks, Bat’haie stated that this blissful and great movement of Executive of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) can encourage other philanthropists, not only in terms of quantitative aspects, but also based on qualitative considerations, to adjoin the blissful movement in order to be able to improve all schools of the country to a standard level.”
