Muhammad Reza Sabaghian, MP of Bafgh City, said that my electorate including Bafgh, Mehriz, Abarkooh, Behabad and Khatam are among the less-deprived areas of the Yazd Province and suffer from many problems, the Public Relations Department of Barakat Foundation reported.
Pointing to his visit with Eng. Saeed Jafari, CEO of Barakat Foundation, the member of Councils Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly explained: “In this meeting which was attended by governors and executive authorities of the mentioned counties, all authorities spoke about problems and shortcomings and offered some suggestion about involvement of Barakat Foundation with job creation and social and economic empowerment of their own cities.”
He also pointed to unemployment as one of key problems of his electorate and stated, “The draught problems and water crisis in the region have forced many people to leave their villages and to immigrate to outskirts of cities, as many villages have become completely abandoned. Such marginalization has brought about many social problems in the region.”
“The formal unemployment rate in some regions is very high, especially among the rural youth it is more evident,” Sabaghian stated.
MP of Bafgh city referred to healthcare as another problem of its electorate and said, “Some deprived areas are far away from the province capital city as much as 270 km and they suffer from lack of the most pivotal healthcare services. Involvement of Barakat Foundation, an affiliated foundation of the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s order with this area and construction of healthcare houses would help these regions in terms of improving their healthcare indicators.”
the member of Councils Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly asked for more active presence and activities of Barakat Foundation, an affiliated foundation of Imam Khomeini’s Order, in the field of job generation and added, “Bafgh, Mehriz, Abarkooh, Behabad and Khatam are active in certain fields such as agriculture, husbandry, carpet weaving, etc. are ready to form small and domestic businesses. Also, for agricultural products, there is a proper capacity and bedrock to develop industrial plants and factories.”
Sabaghian explained about preparing job creation initiatives which must be delivered to the Barakat Foundation and said, “Barakat Foundation is able to eradicate deprivation and to empower less-developed areas of Yazd Province through the creation of small and domestic jobs.”
