In a conversation made on the occasion of the 11th anniversary of Barakat Foundation by the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), Hussein Maghsoudi, MP of Sabzevar People to the Islamic Consultative Assembly, said, “improving justice, employment and deprivation eradication have been among the pillars of the system and have always been emphasized by the Late Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Leader.”
Referring to measures made by Barakat Foundation in construction of educational entities, he said, “as a teacher, I have felt the impressions of the first phase of Barakat Foundation’s school-building movement, which is called the first millennium. Out of second 1000 in-hand schools which are being constructed, a total of 15 schools are being constructed in the deprived areas of my electorate. Out which five schools have been operationalized and ten other schools are being completed.”
“Barakat Foundation built an educational unit only within six months in 2017 for students of the deprived village of Match, Sabzevar, who used to educate in the worn-out shelters,” he added.
This member of Councils and Internal Affairs Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly pointed to activities of Barakat Foundation in the field of sanitary and medicine and added, “Barakat Foundation is looking for constructing 12 sanitary houses in my electorate. It also is working on other constructional and infrastructural projects including building rural roads, supplying water for the remote and deprived areas, etc.”
He pointed to contribution of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) in the field of supplying dowries for the needy couples and explained, “In my electorate, there were young ladies who failed to marry because of their failure in supplying dowries, whose dowries were provided by the contribution of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order.”
MP of Sabzevar People described the contribution of Barakat Foundation in the field of job generation in his electorate as something important and reiterated, “Although the formal unemployment rate of the region has been declared about 13 percentage, the actual rate is 30%. According to the order of Dr. Mokhber, Director of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order, a considerable investment would be made in the region for job generation.”
“Cooperation between Barakat Foundation and feeble companies who have proper and necessary infrastructures and capacities for working, but they have not necessary financial resources will result in the economic prosperity and job generation in the region,” he added.
Enumerating the available capacities in the Sabzevar and its peripheral areas for job generation, Maghsoudi said, “Sabzevar is among the seven enriched parts of the country in terms of having medicinal herbs. It also owns the first rank in terms of producing the white meat in the Khorasan Razavi Province, as it supplies 35 percent of requirements of the province. About 25 percent of sporting clothes of the country are producing in the villages of the Sabzevar, as well.”
MP of Sabzevar to the Islamic Consultative Assembly also explained about the small and medium enterprises and state, “carpet weaving is very popular in the region, as only in region facilities and employment loans have been paid to the carpet weavers. Also, breeding both quails and pheasants are among extendable activities which can be invested.”
“The popularity of home-made cookies of Sabzevar have bypassed our borders and they are exported both the Asian and European countries including Denmark. For handicrafts, there are investment capabilities for the redevelopment of small and domestic businesses.”
