Dr. Muhammad Mokhber who spoke in the third meeting of the members of General Directors Council of Ministerial Fields pointed to the country’s condition in the past year and to the upcoming condition and said, “The enemy tries its best in all fields and acts against our country, but there is no danger which may threaten the country, such anonymities may make our progress a little slower, but definitely they cannot stop us.”
He also said that today the most urgent need of our country is national cohesion and we should avoid saying anything that may stimulate our enemies added, “We need a pivotal and basic unity.”
Head of EIKO said that hope-creation in the society is the second urgent need of the country. Anything that makes our people disappointed is considered as treason against us.
“Our country is a large country with extensive facilities and resources and we should not depict it in a way that our people would feel they will have a very difficult life ahead of them”, he added.
Dr. Mokhber pointed to the figures issued by the World Bank before and after Islamic Revolution of Iran and said, “in 1978, Iran had 36 million people population and it used to produce 36 million barrel crude oil per year. Five million barrels of the produced crude oil were sold, while according to the World Bank 46% of Iranians lived in the absolute poverty. In 2014 and 2015, when Iran had 80 million people population and we 1 million and 5000000 barrels of the crude oil, the World Bank announced that only 9.5% of Iranians live under the poverty line. So, these figures show the efficiency of our system or its inefficiency?”
Head of EIKO said, “Our country has many facilities and resources, but we do not use them properly, our country access seas as long as 2700 km, it is while semi-advanced countries which access seas only 100 km manage a great population.”
“We have other various capacities including oil, gas, saffron and handicrafts in our country which are not utilized properly. Our country supplies 95% of the world’s saffron and the world’s saffron market values 8 billion dollars, but we gain only 400 million dollars of this great market. We are ranked first in terms of handicrafts in the world, but our income from this market is only 500 million dollars,” he added.
Dr. Mokhber also requested an infra-governmental movement for making more jobs in the country and said that we need to enhance life expectancy and hope in the society and it would not be possible with a single power or ministry or department, if we can solve the unemployment problem, our vulnerability would be decreased considerably and foreign threats would not bring about any problem for us.
Referring to EIKO’s functions on poverty eradication arena, he said, “Since six years ago, we decided to make the EIKO an entity which solely serves the deprived classes, as the Leader expected. There is no task in the EIKO which is not related to the deprived classes of the society and we have focused on making jobs for people who live in the deprived parts of the country.”
“When we established Barakat Foundation, we defined three job-creation mechanisms for empowering the deprived regions including domestic employment, society-based employment and entrepreneurship in the short and medium enterprises through working with people,” he added.
He also emphasized the observation of all legal duties by EIKO and its subsets and added, we pay our taxes completely and without any exemption, it has been announced by the authorities and EIKO has been appreciated for this.
In conclusion, he said that the government, the Judiciary Force and the Islamic Consultative Assembly have had proper cooperation on EIKO’s activities based on poverty eradication.
