Barakat Foundation and Parsian Bank Ink MoU for Generating 84,000 Employment Opportunities in Deprived Areas of Country
Barakat Foundation, affiliated to EIKO, and Parsian Bank signed and sealed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for generating 84,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities in deprived and flood-affected areas of the country, Public Relations Dept. of the Foundation reported.

For this purpose, a MoU was concluded between Managing Director of Barakat Foundation, affiliated to EIKO, Eng. Saeed Jafari and KouroshParvizian CEO of Parsian Bank for granting 3,000 billion rials interest-free loan to 30,000 employment plans of the Foundation.

Upon signing and sealing MoU, 30,000 employment plans introduced by Barakat Foundation will be put into operation in small-scale and household professions such as handicrafts, Kelim (rug) weaving, embroidery, needlework, carpet weaving, etc. for the needy people living in the disadvantaged and underprivileged areas of the country.

 On the sidelines of signing and sealing ceremony of this MoU, Saeed Jafari Managing Director of the Foundation said, “given the special emphasis of EIKO, Barakat Foundation will implement 30,000 employment plans in 25 provinces of the country and also 150 cities in the current year.”

Launching 30,000 employment plans in the country requires over 10,000 billion tomans worth of credit, he said, adding, “in addition to its financial resources, Barakat Foundation needs cooperation of banking resources in this regard.”

For materializing its objectives for implementing 30,00 employment plans, Barakat Foundation earlier inked a contract with Mehr Iran Credit Institution and OMID Entrepreneurship Fund, he said, adding, “today, Barakat Foundation has concluded another contract with Parsian Bank in order to launch 30,000 employment plans across the country.”

With conclusion of this MoU, 30,000 employment plans will be launched by Barakat Foundation, Jafari continued.

If 30,000 employment plans of the Foundation are launched, employment opportunities will be generated for 84,000 applicants directly and indirectly.

In the end, Managing Director of Barakat Foundation Eng. Saeed Jafari said that his Foundation will first generate employment opportunities in the deprived areas of the country and qualified applicants in this plan will be introduced to Parsian Bank by facilitators’ network.

CEO of Interest-Free Loan Fund of Parsian Bank Mohammad Reza Faghiri was the next speaker who said, “helping generate employment opportunities and contributing eradication of deprivation in less developed and deprived areas of the country are of the maim mission of the Fund.”

He added, “Leader of the Islamic Revolution has always emphasized on supporting small-scale businesses and also knowledge-based plans.”

Barakat Foundation has launched appropriate employment plans in the field of small-scale businesses across the country, he said, adding, “it is hoped that cooperation of the Fund and Barakat Foundation will materialize objectives of the Foundation in the field of generation of employment in the deprived and less developed areas of the country.”

He went on to say that the MoU signed between Parsian Bank and Barakat Foundation is extendible. In the first phase of this MoU, Parsian Bank will pay interest-free loans to the Foundation for generating employment in the disadvantaged and underprivileged areas of the country.

CEO of Interest-Free Loan Fund of Parsian Bank Mohammad Reza Faghiri pointed to the previous cooperation and collaboration of the Fund with Barakat Foundation and expressed hope that these amicable interactions will continue in future strongly.

He hailed outstanding role of Barakat Foundation, a subsidiary of EIKO, in the country for generating employment opportunities and helping the needy people in the deprived and less advantaged areas of the country and said, “Interest- Free Fund of Parsian Bank will spare no effort to cooperation with the Foundation in materializing most of its objectives in the nationwide wholeheartedly.”

He once again reiterated that this MoU can be renewed, so that 30,000 job-creation plans of the Barakat Foundation will receive interest- free loans of the bank.

Managing Director of Interest- Free Fund of Parsian Bank seized this opportunity to express his special thanks to the functionaries of EIKO in generating employment in the deprived and less developed regions of the country.
