Governor General of Lorestan Province Dr. Musa Khademi pointed to the creation of 1,400 employment opportunities by Barakat Foundation, affiliated to EIKO, in Lorestan Province and said, “unemployment is the most pressing problem facing most provinces of the country such as Lorestan Province which is mainly originated from social and cultural abnormalities.”
He said, “increasing employment will definitely change the social, cultural and economic space of small-scale cities and the whole part of Lorestan province in general.”
Given the above issue, increasing employment will lead to improve people’s living standards and also reduce social harms, he observed.
He pointed to the salient measures taken by Barakat Foundation in the field of implementation of development and infrastructural projects such as construction of Barakat schools and also helping treat infertility among rural couples and also guardianship of orphans in Lorestan province and said, “to treat infertile couples, a joint plan has been launched between Barakat Foundation and Lorestan Province’s governor-generalship.”
Also, effective steps have been taken by the Foundation in this province in the field of guardianship of orphans, he emphasized.
He pointed out that Barakat Foundation has launched widespread and fruitful activities in this province in various fields such as generation of employment, economic contributions, implementing infrastructural projects and payment of interest-free loans to the applicants living in the deprived and disadvantaged rural areas of this province.
Turning to the commissioning of a Jihadi headquarters for the sustainable development and progress in Delfan city and said, “Delfan is one of the deprived and disadvantaged areas of Lorestan province and is regarded as one of 10 deprived cities in the country.”
Undauntedly, Barakat Foundation can play a leading and important role in the development and progress of Delfan, in Lorestan province, he maintained.
He pointed to his recent meeting with Dr. Mokhber Head of EIKO and said, “in this session, I requested him to implement the similar project, which is underway in Hormuz Island, in Delfan.”
All public and private associations, nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and the benevolent persons will cooperate with one another in order to develop and progress Delfan city in this province, he observed.
He pointed to the Jihadi Headquarters in this province and said, “with the coordination made in this regard, Jihadi Headquarters under the auspices of Barakat Foundation can change the face of deprived Delfan area significantly.”
In conclusion, Governor General of Lorestan Province Dr. Musa Khademi elaborated on the measures taken up to the present time in this province as follows: conducting feasibility studies for various projects, launching job-creation plans in the fields of SMEs, agricultural and tourism industries, implementation of development and infrastructural projects in the field of construction of rural residential units, water- and power-supply projects, construction of school, etc. in a way that procedure for the division of work will be finalized in the very near future.”
