The managing director of Barakat Foundation elaborating on the new moves made by that foundation in infrastructure and charity fields said: This year completion and construction of 10,000 infrastructure and welfare projects in villages and deprived districts throughout Iran is in Barakat Foundation’s agenda, which will all be completed by this (Iranian) year’s end.

Speaking about the further details of those projects, Mohammad Torkamaneh said that the construction of over 8,000 residential units for deprived people, 200 schools, cultural and religious centers, 700 water transfer projects, revival of 600 strings of Qanat wells, and 30 health centers are among those projects.

The managing director of Barakat Foundation emphasized that these projects are being implemented in 31 provinces of the country and 4,500 villages that are under the supportive umbrella of Barakat Foundation

Torkamaneh further elaborating on Barakat Foundation’s infrastructure activities, said that the Barakat Foundation has thus far constructed and completed 58,700 infrastructure and welfare projects including schools, mosques, hospitals, emergency health stations, Friday prayer halls, health centers, theological schools, homes for Friday prayer imams, centers for provision of medical facilities, health centers, health complexes, bridges, roads, drinking water pipelines in deprived areas and villages of the country, out of which 48,800 projects are already completed and put to use.

Totally, the Barakat Foundation’s share of the country’s infrastructure projects has been 58,700 projects, worth 28,000 billion rials, out of which 20,800 billion rials have already been paid, he added.

According to the Barakat Foundation managing director, in addition to creating lots of jobs aimed at uprooting poverty, economic and social development in deprived and poor districts and villages of the country, as the main prophecy and mission of this foundation, the Barakat Foundation is involved in vast development plans in those regions.
