Concurrent with the Dignity Week and at the threshold of birth anniversary of Eight Infallible Imam of Household of Holy Prophet, Hazrat Imam Reza (AS), 16 Health Services Centers were launched by Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) in Zahedan, Sistan-Baluchestan Province.
It should be noted that these 16 health services centers became operational in the cities affiliated to Zahedan University of Medical Sciences in the presence of head of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO), managing director of Barakat Foundation, the Leader’s representative in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Friday prayers leader of Zahedan, governor general of Sistan-Baluchestan Province and a number of state and provincial officials.
This ceremony, which was held symbolically at Imam Reza (AS) Barakat Comprehensive Health Services Center of Zahedan, Governor General of Sistan-Baluchestan Province Ali Osat-Hashemi said: “These health centers have been constructed jointly by Barakat Foundation (affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order) and Ministry of Health and Medical Education.”
He pointed to the fruits of implementation of Health Reform Plan in Sistan-Baluchestan Province and reiterated: “Implementation of Health Reform Plan in this province reduced a wide gap of this province with the other developed provinces of the country in terms of quality of medical and healthcare services.”
Considerable 80 percent decline in malaria cases, significant 85-percent reduction of thalassemia cases and also 32 percent death among pregnant women have been considered as one of the salient achievements of implementation of Health Reform Plan in this province, he said, adding: “Unique and significant increase in infrastructures of Health Reform Plan in this province has facilitated accessibility to the healthcare and treatment services.”
After the implementation of Health Reform Plan, construction of 11 percent of medical and healthcare development projects of the country is underway in this province, the governor general maintained.
In the end, General of Sistan-Baluchestan Province Ali Osat-Hashemisaid: “Giant steps have been taken in this province in the field of promoting healthcare and medical services.”
Dr. Norouzi Managing Director of Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO), was the next speaker in this ceremony who said: “Investing and participating in development of health infrastructures, empowering economic activities and generating employment opportunities are of main priorities of the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order.”
Barakat Foundation will invest approx. 2,000 billion tomans worth of capital in Sistan-Baluchestan Province in the next two and a half years, he observed.
With regard to the concurrent inauguration of 16 Barakat comprehensive health services centers in the cities of this province, as subsidiary of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences, he said: “Moreover, eight health services centers are ready operational in the cities of this province (affiliated to Zahedan University of Medical Sciences) and other eighthealth services centers are ready operational in the cities affiliated to Iranshahr University of Medical Sciences.”
Construction operation of 88 comprehensive health centers is underway in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, totally funded by Barakat Foundation, he said, adding: “Of total 88 health services centers, 16 of which have been put into operation in this province.”
In the end, Dr. Norouzi Managing Director of Barakat Foundationsaid: “Barakat Foundation has taken giant stride in this province in terms of promotion of healthcare and medical services.”
Chancellor of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences was the next speaker who said: “Currently, 11 percent of healthcare and medical treatment development projects of the country are underway in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, so that implementation of Health Reform Plan in this province has promoted provincial healthcare and medical sector appropriately.”
At the end of this ceremony, the head of Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order and managing director of Barakat Foundation were awarded with valuable gifts by the health volunteers of Zahedan University of Medical Sciences.
