Pointing to targets defined to solve livelihood and infrastructural problems in 4500 villages across the country, Head of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) said, “out of 4500 villages, problems of 2300 villages have been solved completely and problems of other 2200 villages have been solved as much as 75 percent and we hope to be able to solve their problems by the coming year.”
According to Barakat Foundation’s Public Relations Department, speaking in the inaugural ceremony of 200 mosques and cultural centers, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber, Head of EIKO, said, “mosques are a very large place which have been experienced, but we have ignored them, mosques enjoy a proper capacity to reduce and mitigate problems of the society and we can take advantage of them upon facing crises we would see.”
Pointing to both capacity and the influence of mosques in success of the Islamic revolution and our victory in Iran-Iraq War, Dr Mokhber said, “Mosques’ capacity and impact in solving problems of the society have been ignored.”
“Unfortunately, mosques are not used properly. Today we see that mosques’ doors are opened just one hour before Adhan and are closed an hour after Adhan. While mosques where placed in which Islamic revolution of Iran was formed, it was in mosques which revolutionary manifests were printed, meetings were held and they acted like commanding centers which guided the whole country,” he added.
Pointing to the fact that mosques wee commanding headquarters during Iran-Iraq War, he said that all people who became martyr, captive and veteran all were mosque addict. Today we see that Holy Shrine Defenders are mosque addicts.
Dr. Mokhber added that the main feature of Alavi government is justice. Although there are other Islamic Republic systems around our country, but what makes us differentiated from them is that we have jurisprudence Guardianship, which is nothing but manifestation of justice. There is no place for aristocracy in the Alavi government. The Leader, Islam in general, does not disagree with wealth development and the Islamic state is not seeking for creation of poverty.
While emphasizing the necessity of using the country’s great capacity, head of EIKO said, “We holds the first rank in oil and gas area. We enjoy an exceptional position in terms of access to free seas and there are other capacities in the country. Both justice and such godsend capacities require there that no unemployment and poverty would be found in the society,” he said.
He added, “Unemployment and poverty are against justice. To tackle with them we need a national resolution. In EIKO, a fundamental movement has been started in several dimensions. EIKO has been succeeded to generate more than 400,000 job opportunities, which it will be continued considerably.”
Pointing to the fact that one of new orientation of EIKO is execution of comprehensive and sustainable development projects and achieving economic, social and cultural empowerment in the selected regions based on an Islamic-Iranian model and through comprehensive participation of people, Dr. Mokhber said, “We have targeted pervasive development of 16 counties and districts in order to solve their livelihood and infrastructural problems. Hormoz Island, in Hormozgan Province; Nehbandan in Southern Khorasan Province, Sarbaz and Delegan in Sistan-Baluchestan Province, Bijar and Sarvabad in Kordestan Province, Charvsa and Basht in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, Tekab in west Azarbaijan Province, Noorabad in Lorestan Province and Hamidieh in Khuzestan Province are amongst such regions.
Dr. Mokhber added, “We hope to play a key role in reducing deprivation in the country. We have tried to implement an intelligent system in EIKO and we never followed something which is unilateral. For instance, in medicine production field we follow economic efficiency, declining imports and solving problems of certain patients. For now, vaccines for uterus cancer are produced commercially and we are looking for producing this vaccine for the Iranian market.”
Elsewhere in his remarks he said that bagasse must be burnt, but unfortunately it may pollute the environment, so we are launching a plant in Shadegan with the capacity of producing 200,000 tons paper whose major feed is baggasse. Hence, we not only perform an economic activity, but also we prevent environment pollution and cutting more trees for producing papers.
“The extent of social activities is high in EIKO, as we are able to hold inaugural ceremony for various plans every week. We believe that if orders of the Leader are followed completely, we will have a better country. However, our today’s developments and security are results of following his guidelines.”
