OMID Entrepreneurship Fund and Barakat Foundation Ink MoU for Generating 28,000 Employments
Upon signing and sealing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Barakat Foundation, a subsidiary of EIKO, and OMID Entrepreneurship Fund, 28,000 employment opportunities will be generated in the deprived rural regions, Public Relations Dept. of Barakat Foundation reported.

For this purpose, a joint cooperation agreement was inked between managing directors of Barakat Foundation and OMID Entrepreneurship Fund in order to introduce and grant loans tothe job-creation plans of Barakat Foundation in line with improving the living condition of families in the deprived and less developed areas of the country.

Upon signing and sealing this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), 28,000 employment opportunities, costing over 3,000 billion rials, will be launched by Barakat Foundation and OMID Entrepreneurship Fund jointly.

The time for the implementation of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) is for two years.

According to this report, location for implementation of this joint plan is all rural areas with the priority given to the deprived and border regions.

The job-generation plan will be within the framework of job fields such as light- and heavy livestock, raising poultry, turkey, quail, ostrich, aquaculture, beekeeping, garment production, technical-services jobs, etc.

600 million rials worth of interest-free loans with four percent (4%) fee belongs to each of the job-creation plans approved in the joint Working Group. The said amount should be repaid in 60 months and maximum time interval of six months.

In the signing and sealing ceremony of this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), managing director of Barakat Foundation expounded on a comprehensive report on the measures taken by the Foundation and added, “Barakat Foundation is active in the vast fields in order to render quality services to the deprived people in the less developed and disadvantaged areas of the country, the most important of which can be referred to the generation of employment, construction of school, development of insurance services, construction of cultural centers, hospital and healthcare services, etc.

Barakat Foundation, a subsidiary of EIKO, has launched the movement of creation of job in the deprived areas with the aim of eradication of deprivation and socioeconomic empowerment of people in the less developed and underprivileged areas of the country.

In this regard, Barakat Foundation has created and launched more than 220,000 employment opportunities in these areas.
