The opening ceremony for the second phase of this operation, which was held in one of construction sites of Barakat Schools located in the Othmanabad Village, Chabahar Port, was attended by Minister of Education, the Vice president of Barakat Foundation, an affiliated entity of EIKO, Sociopolitical deputy of the governor general, Director General of Sistan-Baluchestan Province Organization for Development, Renovation and Equipping Schools, Director General of Sistan-Baluchestan Province Education Organization and CEO of Chabahar Free Zone as well as other provincial and local authorities.
Appreciating the EIKO and special attention of Ayatollah Khamenei, Leader of Islamic Republic of Iran, to extension of educational justice and eradication of deprivation in Sistan-Baluchestan province Bat’haie, Minister of Education thanked them. In this ceremony, Eng. Jafari, Member of Board of Directors of Barakat Foundation, provided a report about social measures and deprivation eradication measures made by EIKO through this foundation. He also pointed to the number of Barakat Schools in the Sistan-Baluchestan Province and stated that construction of 132 schools including 642 classrooms with a credit more than 70 billion Tomans has been operationalized in the Sistan-Baluchestan province as the Leader’s gifts to the endeared people of this province and great part of such schools has been commissioned so far. He also said that the share dedicated to Sistan-Baluchestan Province out of all schools built by Barakat Foundation across the les-developed regions of the country is 13.2% and out of the whole 6000 schools constructed by this foundation is 11%. Likewise, 14 percent of the capacity considered to admit students in the Barakat Schools has been dedicated to Sistan-Balouchestan Province.
At the end of this ceremony, the 12-classroom school which is being built in the deprived and peripheral neighborhood of Moradabad in Chabahar was visited. The school will be ready to be used for the 2018 academic year.
Barakat Foundation has launched 1000 schools with 6000 classrooms and a credit more than 700 billion Tomans in the less developed areas of the country and recently has started to build the second 1000 schools with a credit of 1000 billion Tomans.
