With the trip of the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Barakat Foundation to Sistan and Baluchestan province, the cities of Iranshahr and Nikshahr were selected as new target regions of this Foundation and its was stipulated that 600 job-creation plans should be launched in these two cities.
While attending the governorship of Iranshahr and Nikshahr cities, Dr. Mahmoud Askariazad expounded on the activities and various measures of Barakat Foundation in this southern province especially SAHAB Plan of the Foundation which focuses on supportive investment for the generation of employment.
With the addition of two cities of Iranshahr and Nikshahr, the number of cities targeted by the Foundation in this southern province his 14. Accordingly, Barakat Foundation has targeted the job-creation plan in 14 cities of this province in rural and deprived areas in the current year.
Over 2,400 billion rials worth of credit has been considered by the Barakat Foundation for launching this number of job-creation plan in Sistan and Baluchestan province, he added.
These job-creation plans will be put into operation within the framework of community-based economic patterns of “SAHAB” in the fields of animal husbandry, agriculture and handicrafts.
With the inauguration and operation of 2,500 job-creation plans targeted by Barakat Foundation in the current year, more than 7,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities will be generated in the deprived and less developed areas of this southern province, Dr. Askariazad opined.
Barakat Foundation, affiliated to the EIKO, was launched 1,600 job-creation plans in this province, costing over 1,270 billion rials.
Attending the cities of Sarbaz and Pishin and visiting an industrial slaughterhouse was of the other programs of the trip of Chairman of Board of Directors of Barakat Foundation Dr. Askariazad to this southern province.
It should be noted that Barakat Foundation has so far implemented 3,878 plans, with total investment of 3,104 billion rials, for the eradication of depravity and socioeconomic empowerment of people of Sistan and Baluchestan province in the fields of entrepreneurship and job generation, construction of school and mosque, construction of Comprehensive Health Center, development – infrastructural projects, construction of cheap housing for the needy, presentation of financial and insurance services to orphans, etc.
