An economic plan for food processing and packaging with an investment volume of 30 billion tomans and creating jobs for 250 people was put into operation.

The Caretaker of the Execution of Imam Khomeini's Order said that the Order has planned to invest 47,000 billion tomans with employment capacity for 350,000 people to implement the policies of the resistance economy and economic empowerment and production boom, particularly in the field of knowledge-based activities.

Aref Norouzi went on to say that 5400 knowledge-based, micro, domestic, medium and firm-based projects were put into operation by Barakat Foundation in Tehran province today.

The total volume of investment for the implementation of these 5400 projects is 730 billion tomans and has created direct and indirect jobs for 17 thousand people, he noted.

He expressed hope that at least 1,000 billion tomans could be invested in micro and household projects for the underprivileged areas of Tehran province.

During the ceremony, four economic projects were unveiled in Tehran province cities including Shahriar, Varamin and Mohammad Abad via videoconferences.

Also, during the ceremony, the economic plan for the cultivation of edible cactus was put into operation in Pishva County.

This production unit has begun with a total investment volume of 100 billion rials and has created jobs for 75 individuals directly and indirectly.

It should be noted that 25 cities and 131 villages in Tehran province are covered by the employment activities of the Order and 26 facilitators are serving in these areas.
