Transferring 150 Tons of Essential Commodities to the Earthquake Stricken Is in the Pipeline
More than 150 tons of essential commodities are being transferred to the western earthquake stricken areas of the country.

On the sidelines of “Relief Baraket Initiative” meeting, Dr. Muhammad Mokhber, Head of EIKO, pointed to development of Unexpected Events Crisis Working Group and added: “More than 150 tons of essential commodities including 16 trailers of drinking water bottles, 100,000 canned foods, 20 tons of dates, 10,000 blankets and pillows, 1000 baking ovens and heaters are being transferred to the western earthquake stricken areas of the country.”

“For this purpose, necessary planning was made to send relief supporting team in the framework of 100 Jihadi groups, to meet livelihood needs and medical demands in order to expedite assisting and serving people in the earthquake stricken areas” He added.

 He also said that besides providing an experienced medical staff and mobile medical clinics, necessary measures have been taken to send necessary medicines including five trucks of various sorts of medical sera, antibiotics, etc.

At the end of his remarks, Dr Mokhber wished health for all earthquake stricken people and offered his condolences to those who have lost their endeared ones in this tragic event and said, “EIKO tries its best to meet all needs of our people living in such areas and for this purpose a cargo plane of EIKO’s supplies, including more than 50 tons of clothes and other essential items for the earthquake stricken people of such areas, will land on the Kermanshah Airport tomorrow morning.
