Signed on Tuesday, August 2, in the presence of the economy minister, the care taker of Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EOIKO), the managing director of Barakat Foundation, the managing director of Tadbir Economic Group, and the managing directors of the eight acting banks, the largest MOU for job creation in the country was signed.

The caretaker of EOIKO said in the ceremony to sign the MOU, “The agreements stated in this MOU will be implemented in over 400 townships all over Iran within two years’ time.

“We initially intended to create 350,000 jobs in the country by the end of the year 1401, by implementing small and large plans, but now that this MOU is signed, we can have a thanks giving ceremony by the end of the year 1401 for the 400,000th newly created job in the country,” added Aref Nowruzi.

He said that accordingly, 400,000 billion rials of investments is going to be used for job creation through the facilities provided by the banks and the people’s own assets at their disposal.

The caretaker of EOIAO emphasized, “According to the articles of this MOU, 402 townships and 10,200 villages will be under the job creation plans.

“60% of that 400 billion rials will be used in the job creation plans to be implied during the remainder of the year 1401, and the rest in the year 1402.

Nowruzi referred to the damages of the recent floods in the country, arguing, “Barekat Foundation offers special support for the flood-stricken citizens, and as a first step, we had promised to distribute 2,000 healthy kettles among the flood stricken villagers.”

He announced that the foundation has managed to stop the immigration process of 200,000 villagers to cities, and reverse the immigration trend from the cities into the villages by creating jobs there.

The economy minister, too, said in the ceremony, “The 400,000 billion rial MOU with the EOIKO to create jobs is a unique initiative of the recent years, and a particular feature of Barakat plans, with constant and online supervision to ensure the reaching of the facilities to their true and real receivers, pursuing the issue of establishment of new jobs continuously, supporting the job creators, and taking extreme care that the allocated loans will not be wasted.”

Seyyed Ehsan Khanduzi added, “Along with our colleagues in the network of the state and private banks, we have this arrangement and planning that the country’s financial system must move towards supporting the monetary needs required for boosting production and the needs of the families, and to allocate the small facilities to job creation and development of projects that thrust forth the country’s economy, not the non-productive plans.

Khanduzi emphasized, “Allocation of credits to the people through such foundations as the EOIKO, which are in touch with the people, and do not abandon the job creators after receiving the facilities, can lead to the model pattern in the country for allocation of budget, and presentation of facilities.”

The economy minister added that the country’s banks’ network is not all by itself capable of creating jobs and specialized organizations, which have control over the minute interactions in the country must collaborate with banks harmoniously, since if these links are formed, hitting the ideal target for allocation of these facilities is achieved and sustainable employment will get linked with the market.

“We should not permit the malfunctioning cycle of presenting facilities to individuals who create non-sustainable jobs continue,” he added.

Khnaduzi said that the next move must be revising the Atlas of Deprivation of the Country, relying on joint efforts of the EOIKO, the Barakat Foundation and the Imam Relief Committee, and to improve it to a more precise version.

The managing director of Barakat Foundation, too, said, “Today the largest MOU for job creation will be signed with the country’s banks.”
