Director General of Ilam Province Welfare Department General announced the above statement and said: “Currently, 600 relief workers and manpowerare offering quality welfare services to the noble people of this province.”

State Welfare Organization (SWO) was established 36 years ago, he said and put the current number of manpower and relief working in SWO at 35,000.

Ilam Province Welfare Department General has focused on social health and also social harms, the issue of which has been put atop agenda of the department general, he maintained.

Turning to the provision of housing for relief seekers, he said: “Last year, Ilam Province Welfare Department General offered 10 billion rials worth of facilities and loans available to relief seekers and needy people of this province.”

The director general referred to the salient measures taken by Barakat Foundation in this province and said: “With the coordination made in this regard, 14 billion rials worth of facilities and loans was provided by this Foundation to more than 100 women breadwinners of this disadvantaged province.”

Moreover, 38 billion rials worth of facilities and loans was provided by Barakat Foundation in line with empowering relief seekers of this province.

In the end, the director general of Ilam Province Welfare Department General seized this opportunity to express his special thanks to the officials of Barakat Foundation [affiliated to the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order, for solving most economic problems facing the deprived people of this province.
