Small and Medium Industrial Will Save the Country’s Economy
“We believe that small and medium-sized industries are able to save the country’s economy”, Dr. Seyed Mustafa Seyed Hashemi, the Coordination Deputy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), said.

Speaking in the launching ceremony of Barakat Foundation’s economic empowerment and job generation contributory initiative in Mahdishahr, which has been attended by the representative of the Leader in Semnan Province and Friday Prayers Imam of Semnan County, Semnan Governor General, CEO of Barakat Foundation, Governor and Friday Prayers Imam of Mahdishahr and a group of provincial authorities, Dr. Seyed Mustafa Seyed Hashemi, the Coordination Deputy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO), said, “The general and principal policy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) is paying attention to the small and medium-sized industries, because such industries are based on people and can save the country’s economy.”

“Assisting the small and medium-sized industries will strengthen domestic industries and will bring about more glories for the country”, he stressed.

Pointing to the fact that today we are here to see launching a capable producing unit, the Coordination Deputy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) stated hopes that the second phase of the Satrap Industrial group would be launched very soon.

Referring to the special attention of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order to entrepreneurs and job generation, Dr. Seyed Hashemi reiterated, “Unfortunately, entrepreneurs are underestimated in our country, but in order to realize “Resistive Economy emphasized by the Leader, the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order has put atop agenda appreciation and interaction with entrepreneurs.”

Pointing to imports of industrial globes from other countries such as Malaysia and South Korea, he said that we can meet our demands by launching Mahdishahr’s Satrap Factory and similar units.

Pointing to the fact that some students had forced to leave their education across the deprived areas because of poverty, the Coordination Deputy of the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO) said, “EIKO helped these students to continue their education.”

He also announced about the distribution of 30000 stationary packages across the deprived regions of the country by EIKO and said, “Also sporting, healthcare and physical training packages are distributed by EIKO among the students who are living in the less-developed areas of the country.”

Dr. Seyed Hashemi referred to supplying medical costs of treating deaf children and infertile couples who are living in the deprived areas of the country as other services rendered by the Execution of Imam Khomeini Order (EIKO).

 

Entrepreneurship in the Current Condition is Crucial

Later in this ceremony, emphasizing the fact that the contribution of Barakat Foundation has always been blissful in all areas, Eng. Alireza Ashenagar, Semnan Governor General said, “in the current condition of the country in which everybody seeks for establishing the employment status, development and increasing entrepreneurship is very sensitive and crucial which is followed by Barakat Foundation across the deprived parts of the country.”

Eng. Ashenagar asked for a more considerable and active contribution of Barakat Foundation in the Semnan Province and said, “We expect the Barakat Foundation to involve more with job generation issue in the deprived regions of the province.”

He announced the readiness of Semnan Provincial Government to sign a cooperation MOU in the field of deprivation eradication and job generation and stated his hopes that launching the second phase of Satrap producing units would result in economic and social empowerment of Mahdishahr.

Stressing the fact that development of each province must be based on advantages and privileges of that province, he stated, “Because of its proper ecology and intimate people, Mahdishahr County can be one of tourist poles and destinations of Semnan Province.”

 

Creation of 228500 Job Opportunities across the Country

Another speaker of this ceremony was Eng. Jafari, CEO of Barakat Foundation, who said, “Within eleven years of lifetime of Barakat Foundation, which was founded by attention and contraption of our Leader, we have seen splendid activities of this foundation in the fields of deprivation eradication, economic empowerment and development in the deprived areas.”

Explaining about some measures made by Barakat Foundation, Eng. Saeed Jafari said, “Barakat Foundation has invested 91000 billion rials in 35500 projects, out which 14000 have been finalized and 21 other projects are in-hand.”

“Perhaps, Barakat Foundation is recalled as a school-building organization in the society, but it is not true, because the foundation is also active in other fields such as job generation, economic empowerment, constructing mosques and cultural centers and scholar houses, construction of healthcare and medical facilities, construction and completion of hospital and oncology facilities, conducting constructional and infrastructural affairs, offering insurance services, providing financial and spiritual support for orphans, and patients with difficult to treat diseases, etc,” he explained.

“We have developed more than 228500 job opportunities, so far and we have covered 2500 villages completely.” He added.

Pointing to Barakat Foundation’s activities in the Semnan Province, Eng, Jafari said, “37 projects with the credit more than 800 billion rials have been implemented in four provinces. We have also contributed to six producing units in order to create 2600 new job opportunities and we have left four units and have transferred them to the local entrepreneurs.”

Pointing to creating direct employment for 47 people and indirect jobs for more than 188 people in the Mahdishahr’s Satrap Factory, he stressed that launching the second phase and extension of the project will result in the creation of new jobs for more than 90 people in this industrial unit.

Referring to other measures of EIKO and Barakat Foundation in the Semnan Province, the CEO of Barakat Foundation reiterated that 19 schools with 140 classrooms and 120 billion rials budget have been constructed in the province. On the other hand, 11 couples who suffer from infertility problems have been covered by the supportive initiative of Barakat- Khanevadeh Plan. EIKO supports 521 orphans of the province and 385 people have taken interest-free loans in this province.

He also announced about the contribution of Barakat Foundation in completion and launching Garmsar 164-bed hospital and said, “About 250 job generation capacities are in being considered in Garmsar and Aradan cities and 150 job opportunities will be operationalized by the yearend.”

After the ceremony, Dr. Seyed Hashemi and his entourage visited two families of martyrs of Iran-Iraq War and Hazrat Zeinab (SAR) Holy Shrine and appreciated them.
