Dr. Hamid Reza Jamshidi, Head of Board of Directors of Barakat Pharmaceutical Group, who was speaking in the ceremony held for operationalizing the national project of Barakat’s Pharmaceutical Industrial Town, as the biggest professional pharmaceutical town of the region and unveiling nine new medicines on cell therapy, producing the pharmaceutical raw materials and chemical medicines, said that Barakat’s Pharmaceutical Industrial Town is the true symbol of Resistive Economy and also is the result of self-efficiency, wisdom and democracy.

“When this town starts to work, Iran will become the hub for producing medicines in the region,” he stressed.

Dr. Jamshidi classified activities of the Execution of Imam Khomeini’s Order in the field of healthcare into three classes, namely supportive, pharmaceutical and knowledge-based activities and said, “In the supportive section EIKO has constructed and completed 10 hospitals and 158 medical and healthcare centers in the deprived areas of the country, so far. EIKO also has covered the medical costs of thousands of cancerous patients and has paved the way for the birth of 400 newborns through curing infertile couples for free and without charges.”

“Through working in the field of medicine production, EIKO has helped 14000 people to work in this field,” Head of Board of Directors of Barakat Pharmaceutical Group added.

He also announced about toman 900-billion investments of EIKO within five past years in the field producing medicines for the patients with the special diseases and said, “EIKO has supported 30 knowledge-based companies up to now.”
