According to this MOU, Barakat Foundation, as the representative of EIKO and with coordination of Organization for Development, Renovation and Equipping Schools will build another 1000 schools in the less-developed parts of the country by 2021.
The schedule for building schools and financing and completing the schools according to the annual schedule are among the commitments of EIKO, which have been included in this MOU.
Proposing a proper site for building school with the priority of the deprived areas, supplying proper land without interferer, recruiting the training and official staff of school, running schools and keeping the educational application of schools are amongst the Education Ministry set down in this MOU.
Barakat Foundation as the representative of Executive of Imam Khomeini’s Order (EIKO) is in ongoing interaction with the Ministry of Education in order to provide proper, standard and equipped training space for students who live in the less-developed parts of the country and schools are constructed based on the demands issued by the Education Department Generals of various provinces with the priority of the deprived areas.
1000 Barakat schools with the capacity of 6000 classrooms and investment volume of 700 billion Tomans have been built by Barakat Foundation so far and they have been transferred to the Education Ministry to be available for the usage of students who live in the less-developed areas of the country.
A total of 2050 villages have been covered by the schools of Barakat Foundation and the launched Barakat schools are able to serve more than 130000 students.
Upon sign of this MOU, the agreement for constructing a total of 438 new schools (from the second 1000 ones) with the capacity of 2600 classrooms and the capacity to enroll 55000 students for the deprived areas, especially the earthquake-stricken areas, will be set and announced. After construction and completion of Barakat Schools by the end of 2021, the total number of schools constructed by the foundation, which is an affiliation of EIKO, will reach to 2000 schools.
Barakat Foundation decides to take another step to assist development and improvement of the less-developed parts of the country and extension of education justice through completing and delivering another 250 to 300 new schools with about 2000 classrooms and the capacity to enroll 44000 students across the rural, deprived and earthquake-stricken parts of the country.
Other measures taken by the Barakat Foundation in order to cooperate and work with the education system of the country, with the approach of assisting extension of education justice, the following items can be suggested:
Cooperation in implementation of NEMAD initiative (Students Social Protection System) with the aim of troubleshooting, preventing and treating social traumas and problems of the country’s students society; Implementation of supportive-educational projects which are defined in order to diversify and extend services rendered by the Barakat to the education system of the country. in this regard, 64 projects with the credit of more than 30 billion Tomans including construction of multi-purpose educational complexes, completing and equipping libraries, prayers rooms, dormitories, gymnasiums, labs, workshops, equipment and installations for schools of the deprived areas, supporting Jihadi groups to build rural schools and implementing cultural and training programs, financing costs of students who had left school years ago, etc.
